Graphic Designs Created for Employers
Since starting my MA program in 2019, I have worked as
-
A freelance political news writer
-
Snohomish County Election Division's Elections and Voter Outreach Specialist
-
Director of Government and Public Affairs for Snohomish County-Camano Association of Realtors
All of these positions have given me ample opportunity to develop graphics for educational and marketing purposes.
The following examples demonstrate the MA outcome of me being able to:
-
Analyze a variety of rhetorical situations and create documents that work in each particular situation
-
Explore and experiment with technologies and the distinctive rhetorical exigencies they create
-
Act as a professional in and outside the classroom
-
Participate in an active and ethical way in the profession beyond the classroom
Graphic Design for School Projects
Many of the compositional projects for my MA involved either creating graphic designs to compliment my writing in articles (such as stylized quotes and infographics) or experimenting with graphic design strategies for different rhetorical purposes (such as creating logotypes, book covers, or invitations).
The following examples demonstrate the MA outcome of me being able to:
-
Analyze a variety of rhetorical situations and create documents that work in each particular situation
-
Explore and experiment with technologies and the distinctive rhetorical exigencies they create
-
Compose discursive and audience specific arguments using appropriate evidence and rhetorical appeals
